How to Draw a Cartoon Polar Bear - Step-by-Step Tutorial

Step 1: It's a chilly one outside today. Polar bear time! Let's begin with the head. Create a circular-shaped figure with two small domes at the top for the ears.

Step 2: Within each ear, add another smaller dome. Below the ears in the middle of the head, add two circles for the eyes and two small curved lines directly above for the eyebrows. Draw in another curved line from the side of the right eye that connects to the side of the face. From the left eye, begin to draw in a tubed shape that curves back upwards to create the mouth. At the base of the tube, add in a small upside down triangle and color it in for the nose.

Step 3: Now, from the side of the right ear, add a horizontal line off in the right direction. Underneath this, a ways down the paper, add another very small curved line in the middle of the line above.

Step 4: Next, let's create the legs. Begin the elft leg by drawing a vertical line straight down from the chin and add two more parallel lines, evenly spaced, off to the right. Enclose these lines at the base by adding a curved line for the feet and toes.

Step 5: Now for the back legs. From the back of the polar bar, draw a curved vertical line downward. Add another three lines to the left of this one. The first should be the longest and will connect to the other line at the base with a curved foot. The other two lines will be shorter, beginning at the belly of the bear. They will also converge at the base by the addition of the foot and toes.

Step 6: Lastly, move to the right-most end of the bear and add a small turf of hair for the tail!

Step 7: Great work today! He's all ready for the winter wonderland.
