Step 1: Geckos are a type of lizard. We will begin drawing our gecko by making an ellipse with one rounded end and one slightly more pointed end.

Step 2: Draw the gecko's eye as an open circle with a thin, shaded ellipse inside for the pupil. Geckos cannot blink their eyes, so they use their tongues to lick out dirt and keep their eyes moist.

Step 3: Draw the gecko's body as a bumpy ellipse connected to the head.

Step 4: Draw each of the gecko's legs and feet as two sets of angled lines that end in five wavy lobes.

Step 5: Geckos have large, thick tails. Draw the gecko's tail as two curved lines that run from the rear of the gecko's body and converge in a point.

Step 6: To add spots to your gecko, draw lots of open circles all over your gecko's body. Geckos come in green, yellow, blue and many other colors so have fun experimenting with color patterns.
