How to Draw a Puffin Head

How to Draw a Puffin Head - Step-by-Step Tutorial

Step 1: Begin with an open circle for the head.

Step 2: Add a hooked line in the opening of the head to begin the beak.

Step 3: On top of the head, draw two curved lines.

Step 4: Draw a circle toward the top of the head, with a smaller circle inside of it for the eye.

Step 5: Around the eye, draw a triangle.

Step 6: Add a second curved, hook shaped line in front of the first one for the beak.

Step 7: From the curved line, draw a triangle out from the head, with a curved line beneath it to form the beak.

Step 8: Draw a curved line toward the back of the beak, on both the top and bottom to form the beak pattern.

Step 9: Draw two rings near the beak. Add two lines coming from the bottom of the beak, one short and one long, with two short lines at the back of the top of the head.

Step 10: Shade in the beak pattern and the spaces of the triangle around the eye, and add a straight line behind the eye.

Step 11: Finally, add lots of dashed lines to the top of the head and the upper portion of the body, along with a small zig-zag from the rings by the beak.

Step 12: Your puffin is now finished!
