How to Draw a Realistic Buffalo - Step-by-Step Tutorial

Step 1: Begin with a small oval with the thinner parts upright and then draw in two larger ovals next to it, making them overlap each other with their thinner parts more horizontal and finally draw in a third, slightly smaller oval overlapping the last oval with its thinner parts also upright.

Step 2: Then you'll erase the overlapping part of the smallest oval to make the head and add in the nose at the bottom and long ears on each side.

Step 3: Next you'll add in the eyes, one beside each ear, and the horns above them, making them curve out and around back toward the top of the head.

Step 4: Then you'll erase the rest of the overlapping lines of your ovals to form the body, smoothing out the top to form the back, adding in just a bit of fur near the head and drawing the tail opposite the head.

Step 5: Next you'll draw in the hind leg and a small upside down mountain shaped part just in front.

Step 6: Then draw in the right front leg and the lines for the neck part.

Step 7: Next draw in the other front leg.

Step 8: Finally, add in a few finishing details such as the fur on the tail, ears and neck and a small tuft of hair on the small mountain in front of the back leg and the wavy lines in between the horns.

Step 9: Your Buffalo is complete! Congratulations!
