How to Draw a Brushtail Possum - Step-by-Step Tutorial

Step 1: Draw a small face, with two eyes and a nose.

Step 2: Add two big, pointy ears to the top of the head.

Step 3: Draw a long, arched line as the back.

Step 4: Extending off of the back, add a long, bushy tail.

Step 5: Now draw the front leg, with a thick thigh and tapering down to a small foot.

Step 6: Draw the second front leg.

Step 7: Draw the hind legs now. They will be big at the top with small feet.

Interesting Facts about the Brushtail Possum

The Brushtail Possum is the most common marsupial in Australia. It is vocal and has a range of sounds from grunts to hissing along with screeching, alarms, and clicks. As its name implies, it has a bushy tail. The tail also has a naked patch on the bottom to help it cling to tree branches. They are solitary, nocturnal creatures, using scent marking to define their territories.
