How to Draw a Cockroach Face - Step-by-Step Tutorial

Step 1: Let's draw the jaw first. Draw a "U" and some curved lines inside that to add some detail to the jaw.

Step 2: At the upper ends of the jaw we draw two antenna. On the right side, draw a long curved needle like shape which is pointed at the end. On the right side, draw a less curved one but make sure its pointed at the end as well. Make tiny circles at the base of the antenna for some detail.

Step 3: Draw eyes by drawing two ovals above the base of each antennae. Join both eyes with a curved line in the middle.

Step 4: Now we draw the labial palps below the jaw. They are the cockroach's substitute for lips. To draw them, make a curved thin straw-like appendage at the right side of the jaw. Draw a smaller one on the left side. Make sure both of them are curved inwards. Draw segments by drawing one or two lines for detail.

Step 5: Now we draw the maxillary palps. Draw thin curved straw-like appendages between the right labial palp and the right antenna. Make it curved inwards and draw segments for detail. Follow the same procedure on the left making sure its curved inwards as well.
