Step 1: Draw the cockroach's tiny head as a "C"-shaped curve.
Step 2: Add the protothorax as an ellipse attached to the head.
Step 3: Add two long outward-curving lines for the antennae and two shaded circles for the eyes. Make sure to leave white dots unshaded in the corners of the eyes to show reflection.
Step 4: Cockroaches have wings. Draw them as two half-ovals connected to the protothorax you drew in step two.
Step 5: Add the cockroach's six segmented legs. Cockroaches use their legs to move very quickly over short distances. Cockroaches also have two appendages on their rears that make up a sensory organ called a cercus. The cockroach's many adaptations have allowed it to survive as a species for millions of years.
