Step 1: Begin your trout by drawing the head. This can be done by drawing a rounded triangle shape with a short line at the base.
Step 2: Add the body by extending lines back and to the side from the base of the head, slowing narrowing into a curved point. At the top of the body, draw two thin lines and lots of dark circles between the lines.
Step 3: Now add the eye to the head by drawing a semi-shaded circle.
Step 4: Next, draw the fins. This can be done by drawing a triangle on top of the body, and a smaller one below the body. A third, leaf-like shape, is drawn on the body. All fins have several short lines on them for detail.
Step 5: Finally, draw the tail This looks like a curvy diamond shape with four short lines connected to the end of the body.
