How to Draw a Realistic Crane - Step-by-Step Tutorial

Step 1: Begin by drawing the oval-shaped head, leaving a space for the beak and drawing the section of feathers crowning the back of the head.

Step 2: Next you'll draw an eye just in front of the feathers on the back of the head.

Step 3: Then draw the beak in the space you left in the head, making it short and thin.

Step 4: Next you'll draw in the long, curving neck and the long feathers trailing from the part of the neck that joins the body.

Step 5: Then you'll draw in the body, making it similar to a squished lemon and leaving a space for the tail feathers.

Step 6: Next draw in the short feathers for the wing just above the belly.

Step 7: Then draw the long, thin tail feathers in the space opposite the head.
