Interesting Facts about the Lapras

Lapras is a large, blue, pre-historic looking water Pokémon. It is a gentle natured Pokémon with helpful instincts and they can be found travelling in large schools in the ocean. There is a sad fact that Lapras’s friendly nature has been taken advantage of and made it an easy target for hunters, meaning they are now pretty rare in the wild.

• Lapras are so intelligent they can completely understand human speech
• Much like whales, Lapras communicate with each other by singing enchanting melodies which can be heard for many miles around
• Lapras can develop psychic abilities and have an amazing skill of telepathy which it can use in self defence or to someone else’s aid
• Lapras is at such a level of peace it would rather be relied upon by its trainer as a form of water transport than to battle other Pokémon
• Lapras’ cry is extremely gentle and high pitched for its enormous size

Thankfully, hunting of these Pokémon has reduced and they continue to breed. That being said, they have not altered their behaviour or sought revenge and still agree to ferrying people across waterways and helping those in danger at sea.
