How to Draw a Cartoon Yak - Step-by-Step Tutorial

Step 1: Start by drawing the top of the head and the horns. Draw two “U” shapes, one inside the other, connecting together into points on each side at the top. Add in a rectangular fuzzy area for the large tuft of hair on the top of the head in the center of where the horns meet at the bottom.

Step 2: Draw two almond-shaped ears next. Place one on each side below the horns and to each side of the fuzzy rectangle. Connect them with short curving lines to the horns above them.

Step 3: Draw in two tiny circles for the eyes, placing one near each ear.

Step 4: Next you'll draw the body and lower part of the head. Start by drawing a diagonal line extending upwards from the horn on the right and curving horizontal after a short distance. Continue the curving line around to form the back and connect up to a very jagged horizontal line for the belly. Draw in a fuzzy “U” shape connecting the ears, with a smaller “U” in the middle at the bottom for the snout. Add in two ovals and a curved line below for the nose and mouth. Then connect the jagged line for the belly and the cheek on the right side.

Step 5: Draw in three sets of parallel lines for the front and back legs, adding in lines across the bottom of the legs and a “W” shape for the hooves.
