How to Draw a Cobra Face - Step-by-Step Tutorial

Step 1: Start by drawing the eye by drawing a small circle and color it in.

Step 2: Now draw the head over the eye with a curved line that is longer downwards on the right.

Step 3: Next we draw the mouth. Draw a horizontal line at the bottom of the head and another curved line under that making the left end of the second line curved upwards.

Step 4: from the right tip of the mouth we draw the tongue. A cobra has a long tongue which splits into two at the tip. So we draw a curved line for the tongue at the tip of the mouth and then a small "V" at the end to show the split.

Step 5: Draw a curved line below the head which is the right hood.

Step 6: Let's draw the left hood now. Draw a semi-circle starting from the top of the head, going towards the left and down. Continue it with a straight line below.

Step 7: Add detail by making a "C" shaped curved line on the left inside of the left hood.

Step 8: Now we draw the belly. Start making an "S" shaped line from under the mouth and join it with the sides of the hood on the right. Now draw another "S" shaped line from the end of the mouth to the bottom of the left hood.

Step 9: Draw curved stripes across the belly for detail.
