Step 1: The head can be drawn by making a large circle, open slightly at the bottom.
Step 2: Add the mouth to the open space by drawing an oval with an arching "U" shaped line connected above it, and a small, curved line within.
Step 3: Draw two small antennas, one on either side of the mouth. These look liketwo very skinny, curved triangles.
Step 4: Add the eyes by drawing two small circles on each side of the head, both with dark dots within.
Step 5: Draw the fin by adding a narrow rectangle to the right of the head.
Step 6: Connect the fin to the front of the head with a curved line. Add a curved line along the inside of the lower half of the head, and one straight line coming out from the top of the head.
Step 7: Add the Koi fish's patter by drawing some jagged circles on the head, and an uneven line coming down from the very back of the head, with a small circle inside and outside of it.
Step 8: Your koi fish is now finished!
